Terms and conditions of enrolment
Age of enrolment:
- You can enrol in Sanitas Health Plan up to the age of 64. (an extra premium applies to those over age 65).
- There is no maximum age limit to remain on the policy.
Discounts
You can take advantage of valuable discounts with Sanitas Health Plan:
- A 4% discount for annual payment.
- A 2% discount for bi-annual payment.
Waiting periods
Waiting periods indicate the amount of time that must pass between enrolment in health insurance and the possibility of requesting the use of stated healthcare services.
Sanitas Health Plan Basic:
No waiting periods, you can access all services included in the plan from day one.
The health insurance does not cover the client's conditions that existed prior to the date of enrollment in the insurance.
Sanitas Health Plan Classic:

Sharing in the costs of services:
Sharing in the costs of services, or co-payment, is a measure implemented by the majority of health insurance companies to bring about the responsible use of medical services.
- The insured pays an minimum amount established for each use of healthcare services.
- General raises in premiums are avoided, resulting in a savings for all clients thanks to the distribution of said costs according to individual use of services.
- It is often a fixed cost, although on occasion there is a graduated co-payment, meaning that the sharing of the costs of a service increases due to a high frequency of use.
Sanitas lets you know about the co-payments for services for each policy through their Customer Service Department, in the Client's Area on their website, as well as through quarterly communications sent to the contact address of the policy.
